Sedgley Place History
In addition to the delectable food and unequaled service, there’s no denying the down home charm of Sedgley Place.
And why not? Surrounded by lush rolling meadows and fruit trees, the restaurant is housed in a Stately Federal Home that was built in 1786. The restaurant itself was established in 1978 with two dining rooms on the lower floor and a seating capacity for 32 guests.
Over the years the restaurant blossomed into other parts of the house. Today there are four dining rooms that inhabit the upstairs and downstairs. And there is a seating capacity for 125.
Throw in the fireplaces, the candles and flowers, the hardwood floors, the outdoor deck and you’ve got the makings of an absolutely unforgettable dining experience.
