Our Organic Farm in Leeds
All of the produce used in the preparation of meals at Sedgley Place is certified organic by MOFGA (Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.)
Most of that produce is grown on Paul and Sue’s 77 acre organic farm and greenhouses in nearby Leeds. In the growing season, it’s not unusual to see Paul, Sue and the rest of the family picking the produce in the morning that they’ll be serving that very evening.
“We buy the seeds, plant them and then harvest the fruits and vegetables,” says Paul. “We’re especially proud of our soups and salads. The ingredients are all local or picked right on the farm that day. You can’t get any fresher than that.”
