The Sedgley Place is owned by the Bowies of Turner, Maine.
Executive Chef Kyle Dunham has been with The Sedgley Place for 15 years. Add in Owner/Chef Robert Bowie & his wife, Susan along with Dining Room Manager, Rachel McNamara, and you will find a collaboration presenting you with new and exciting menus while preserving years of tradition previously established by the Wilbur's and Levesque's.
The Sedgley Place offers a complete five-course dinner including our cheese spread as a starter, warm bread with honey butter, appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. Our menu changes weekly offering seven different entrees including a vegetarian choice.
In addition to the delicious food and impeccable service, the charm and atmosphere of this old Maine home is like no other. Surrounded by lush rolling meadows and fruit trees, the restaurant is housed in a Stately Federal Home that was built in 1786.
With the ambiance of fireplaces, candles, hardwood floors, and antiques, along with the beautiful grounds you will find the makings of an unforgettable dining experience. We strive for exceptional food quality, professional service and a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.
We offer Fine Dining by reservation only, every Thursday thru Sunday. Wednesday is reserved for public events such as our Wine Dinners, Pasta & Prime Rib Night or other Private Events. We are also available for daytime functions, socials, family gatherings, weddings, showers, rehearsal dinners and business meetings.
"The menu changes weekly but also along with the seasons.
As a Chef, freshness and sustainability make all the difference.
We use the freshest produce and proteins available,
influencing the creativity & direction of the menu items you will see here every week."
